It's not a
surprise that Israel and Hamas reached a ceasefire deal, after the
new death toll of over 2,000 civilians caused by the Israelis in
Gaza, because it's not the first time. The Israeli military attacks
Gaza every two years or so after all.

What should surprise us is that Israel accepted some terms which were
essentially rejected during previous negotiations,
(http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/middle_east/israel-hamas-reach-cease-fire-deal-brokered-by-egypt/2014/08/26/cc834c02-2d49-11e4-bb9b-997ae96fad33_story.html)
while its primary goal was to bring Gaza closer to total destruction
and destroy the Hamas-Fatah approach.
The
explanation for Israel's move at this specific moment has to do
probably with the ISIS threat. Recent incidents show that ISIS, which
appears to be out of control for the moment, is getting closer to
Israel too. Israeli officials expressed their concerns for the
clashes between Syrian troops and Syrian rebels at the Golan Heights
(http://www.voanews.com/content/israel-concerned-over-syrian-rebels-in-golan/2436370.html),
while recently, Israel army has shot down an unidentified drone that
flew from Syria into Israeli-controlled airspace over this region.
There was
also another incident with the 43 UN peacekeepers detained by "armed
elements" in the region.

Therefore, these concerns by the Israeli officials are justified,
especially if we consider that many Syrian rebels probably have
joined ISIS. Other information also shows that ISIS militants are
capable of capturing military equipment which includes even
warplanes.

The ISIS
threats, however, are not limited to the West or Israel. Takfiri
militants have reportedly threatened to attack Saudi Arabia too.
ISIS is turning against everyone, even its initial supporters.

Latest news
concerning the threat against Putin which includes plans for
"liberating" Chechnya and Caucasus,
(http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-09-03/isis-threatens-putin-caliphate-chechnya-kadyrov-responds-you-will-be-destroyed)
came surprisingly close to the ceasefire agreement (or attempt for
agreement) between Kiev and Moscow. Normally, the neocon "clowns"
would be very happy with such threats, but the beheading of the
second American journalist, Steven Sotloff, leaves no alternative but
to deal with the ISIS and the US public opinion.
Everything
points to the fact that maybe some underground "unofficial"
channels between NATO and Russia have been mobilized, after a long
time, so that to reach a - even temporary - ceasefire agreement in
Ukraine. Neocons have ridiculously failed one more time. After the
mess they brought in Iraq, they had this "brilliant idea"
to support these militant groups so that to bring down Assad regime,
which is attached to Russia, and probably destabilize Iran too. Now
they are closing fronts and call everyone to destroy ISIS.
But again,
the ruthless neocons won't stop. They will continue to provoke Russia
as they feel that their plans are being threatened.
Let's hope that they will fail one more time.
